- Dry Salami Festival in Nădlac
The Dry Salami Festival in Nădlac, which this year will take place on April 26th 2025, was initiated in 2017, but the traditions related to the preparation and consumption of this delicacy are deep and old in the history of the Slovak community in the area.
Since its first editions, the festival has evolved into a vibrant and colorful event, where local artists, craftsmen and traders come together to celebrate not only gastronomy, but also Slovak culture. The festival program includes, in addition to tasting specialties, craft exhibitions, workshops and folklore performances, strengthening ties between generations and between different communities. The Nădlac Dry Salami Festival is more than just a culinary event; it is a symbol of unity, tradition and cultural heritage of the Slovak community in Romania. The annual celebration is a testament to the residents’ desire to preserve and transmit the cultural and gastronomic values inherited over time.
