The Sicoe Gianin Collection” exhibition\n(Natural Sciences Museum – Cultural Palace of Arad, entrance from the Children’s Park)\nThe “Our Planet in Miniature” exhibition presents a beautiful collection of globes, maps and atlases – each piece offering a glimpse into the way people have understood and represented the world throughout history. The objects belong to Arad collector Sicoe Gianin.\n–     “Blue”(Albastru) exhibition\n(“Art Depot” Temporary Exhibition Hall – Cultural Palace of Arad, entrance from George Enescu Square)\nOpening hours:\nTuesday–Sunday: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM (last admission at 5:30 PM)\nSaturday, 15 August 2026: the Arad Museum Complex’s temporary exhibitions are closed.\nTemporary exhibitions at the “Clio” Hall (10, Horia Street)\n \n–  Collective  photography  exhibition  “Home  in  Baranya”,  presented  by  the  Mecsek Photography Club from Pécs\nOpening: 18 August 2026, at 6:00 PM\n18–28 August 2026 – Event dedicated to Pécs City Day in Arad, as part of Arad City Days, organized by Arad City Hall.\nOpening hours:\nTuesday–Sunday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (last admission at 4:30 PM)\nMonday, 24 August – closed.\n \n– Explorers’ Camp – First Steps in Nature\n21–23 August 2026\nCăsoaia, Arad County\nThe “Explorers’ Camp – First Steps in Nature” is dedicated to everyone who loves nature and adventure and wants to learn through hands-on experience.\nDuring the three days, participants will learn about:\n–     Orienteering using a map and compass; –      Setting up and organizing a camp;\n–     Safely starting and managing a fire; –      Basic first-aid skills;\n–     Respect for nature and the “Leave No Trace” principle; –           A practical orienteering and exploration trail;\n–     Teamwork and the spirit of exploration.\nParticipation is FREE!\nAt the end, each participant will receive a Certificate of Completion for Module I – “First Steps in Nature”, as well as a Certificate of Participation.\nThe event is organized in collaboration with CSA Liliacul Arad.\nPlaces are limited! Participation is subject to registration.\nNature is the best classroom!\n \n–  Arad City Days – 2026 Edition\nThis  year,  Arad  City  Hall,  through  the  Municipal  Cultural  Centre,  has  prepared  a  diverse programme for Arad City Days, aimed at residents of all ages and designed to appeal to a wide range of interests.\nThe event will take place from 15–23 August 2026.\nOver the nine days, entertainment will take place at several locations throughout the city:\nRevolution Boulevard; the square in front of the Administrative Palace; “Mihai Eminescu” Park; Cathedral  Square;  “Avram  Iancu”  Square;  Neptun  Swimming  Pools;  “Sfânta  Maria”  Park; Reconciliation Park.\nEvents that are traditionally part of the city days programme include the Festive Meeting of the Local Municipal Council, Picnic Festival, the Summer Food & Fun Fair, the pop music concert and folk music concert, as well as the foam party at Neptun Swimming Pools.\nFor children, Kid’s Land will be set up in “Avram Iancu” Square – a mini amusement park featuring slides, a carousel and many other activities.\nThis year’s programme will also include the Boulevard Fashion Festival, Skilled Cyclists, and the presentation of the “Golden Diploma” to couples celebrating 50 years of marriage.\nAnother highly anticipated event will be the Salbek Opera Masterclass 2026 Extraordinary Opera Gala, which will takeplacein front of the AdministrativePalace on 23 August, featuring renowned European guests Paula Iancic, Ruxandra Donose, Leontina Văduva and Ramón Vargas.\nThe performers at the pop music concert, which will take place in the city centre on Saturday, 22 August, will be Fără Filtru, The Bandits, Lidia Buble, Andrei Ursu and Florin Ristei.\nFull     programme:    https://www.cmcarad.ro/ro/eveniment/988/zilele-aradului-editia-2026-evenimente-culturale-stiintifice-artistice-si-sportive-in-oras\n \n\n \n\n \n\n
