The \u201cOur Planet in Miniature\u201d exhibition presents a beautiful collection of globes, maps and atlases \u2013 each piece offering a glimpse into the way people have understood and represented the world throughout history. The objects belong to Arad collector Sicoe Gianin.<\/p>\n

The \u201cExplorers\u2019 Camp \u2013 First Steps in Nature\u201d is dedicated to everyone who loves nature and adventure and wants to learn through hands-on experience.<\/p>\n

During the three days, participants will learn about:<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Orienteering using a map and compass; –\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Setting up and organizing a camp;<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Safely starting and managing a fire; –\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Basic first-aid skills;<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Respect for nature and the \u201cLeave No Trace\u201d principle; –\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A practical orienteering and exploration trail;<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Teamwork and the spirit of exploration.<\/p>\n

Participation is FREE!<\/p>\n

At the end, each participant will receive a Certificate of Completion for Module I \u2013 \u201cFirst Steps in Nature\u201d, as well as a Certificate of Participation.<\/p>\n

The event is organized in collaboration with CSA Liliacul Arad.<\/p>\n

Places are limited! Participation is subject to registration.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0 Arad City Days \u2013 2026 Edition<\/strong><\/p>\n

This\u00a0 year,\u00a0 Arad\u00a0 City\u00a0 Hall,\u00a0 through\u00a0 the\u00a0 Municipal\u00a0 Cultural\u00a0 Centre,\u00a0 has\u00a0 prepared\u00a0 a\u00a0 diverse programme for Arad City Days, aimed at residents of all ages and designed to appeal to a wide range of interests.<\/p>\n

The event will take place from 15\u201323 August 2026.<\/p>\n

Over the nine days, entertainment will take place at several locations throughout the city:<\/p>\n

Revolution Boulevard; the square in front of the Administrative Palace; \u201cMihai Eminescu\u201d Park; Cathedral\u00a0 Square;\u00a0 \u201cAvram\u00a0 Iancu\u201d\u00a0 Square;\u00a0 Neptun\u00a0 Swimming\u00a0 Pools;\u00a0 \u201cSf\u00e2nta\u00a0 Maria\u201d\u00a0 Park; Reconciliation Park.<\/p>\n

Events that are traditionally part of the city days programme include the Festive Meeting of the Local Municipal Council, Picnic Festival, the Summer Food & Fun Fair, the pop music concert and folk music concert, as well as the foam party at Neptun Swimming Pools.<\/p>\n

For children, Kid\u2019s Land will be set up in \u201cAvram Iancu\u201d Square \u2013 a mini amusement park featuring slides, a carousel and many other activities.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s programme will also include the Boulevard Fashion Festival, Skilled Cyclists, and the presentation of the \u201cGolden Diploma\u201d to couples celebrating 50 years of marriage.<\/p>\n

Another highly anticipated event will be the Salbek Opera Masterclass 2026 Extraordinary Opera Gala, which will takeplacein front of the AdministrativePalace on 23 August, featuring renowned European guests Paula Iancic, Ruxandra Donose, Leontina V\u0103duva and Ram\u00f3n Vargas.<\/p>\n

The performers at the pop music concert, which will take place in the city centre on Saturday, 22 August, will be F\u0103r\u0103 Filtru, The Bandits, Lidia Buble, Andrei Ursu and Florin Ristei.<\/p>\n
